How To Get to Poros

Poros island is separated from the mainland by a narrow strait. It is easily reached by ferry from the port of Galatas on the north coast of the Peloponnese. The ferry ride lasts only 10 minutes and ferries depart almost every 30 minutes. If you wish to travel from Athens, there are daily departures from the port of Piraeus and the trip is about 3 hours long by ferry or 1 hour by hydrofoil.
